Roll Fold Brochures

Roll fold brochures — also known as barrel fold or over-and-over fold — create an elegant, layered reading experience where each panel rolls into the next. Unlike accordion folds where panels zigzag, roll folds have each panel nesting inside the previous one, creating a compact, refined package that unfolds in sequence.

At Perklets Print, we produce roll fold brochures with precision folding on premium paper stocks. The progressive reveal of each panel makes this format ideal for step-by-step guides, product collections, pricing tiers, and any content that benefits from a structured, sequential presentation.

Roll fold brochures are particularly popular for hospitality menus, spa treatment lists, event itineraries, and corporate capabilities presentations. The format feels sophisticated and considered, elevating your marketing above standard fold types.

FAQs: Roll Fold Brochures

What is a roll fold brochure?

A roll fold brochure has panels that fold progressively inward, each nesting inside the previous one. This creates a compact package that unfolds one panel at a time, revealing content in a structured sequence.

How is roll fold different from accordion fold?

Accordion fold zigzags with equal-width panels. Roll fold has panels wrapping around each other, with each inner panel slightly narrower. Roll fold creates a sequential reveal; accordion creates a flat display.

Why are inner panels narrower?

Each panel must be slightly narrower (1–2mm less) so it nests cleanly inside the panel wrapping around it. Without this size reduction, the brochure would bulge and not fold flat.

What is roll fold best for?

Roll fold excels at sequential content — step-by-step processes, tiered pricing, spa menus, event itineraries, and any content where you want the reader to discover information one panel at a time.
