Saddle Stitched Catalogues

Saddle stitched catalogues are the most popular and cost-effective format for product catalogues, lookbooks, price lists, and marketing brochures with multiple pages. The binding method uses wire staples along the spine fold, creating a clean, flat-opening catalogue that is easy to read and distribute.

At Perklets Print, we produce premium saddle stitched catalogues using high-quality art paper and advanced CMYK printing technology. This binding method is ideal for catalogues ranging from 8 to 64 pages (in multiples of 4), making it perfect for seasonal collections, product ranges, event programmes, company profiles, and promotional booklets.

Our saddle stitched catalogues feature crisp, vibrant colour reproduction on 130–170 GSM art paper for inner pages, with a heavier 250–300 GSM cover stock. The result is a professional, lightweight catalogue that feels substantial yet remains easy to mail, hand out at events, or display in brochure racks.

FAQs: Saddle Stitched Catalogues

What is a saddle stitched catalogue?

A saddle stitched catalogue is bound using wire staples along the centre fold of the spine. It is the most common and economical binding method for catalogues with up to 64 pages, ideal for product ranges, lookbooks, and company profiles.

How many pages can a saddle stitched catalogue have?

Saddle stitched catalogues work best with 8 to 64 pages (including covers). Page counts must be in multiples of 4. For catalogues with more than 64 pages, we recommend perfect binding.

What paper stock do you recommend for catalogues?

For inner pages, 130–170 GSM art paper delivers excellent print quality and a professional feel. For the cover, 250–300 GSM with matt or gloss lamination provides durability and a premium appearance.

How long does catalogue printing take?

Standard turnaround for saddle stitched catalogues is 4–6 working days from artwork approval. Express production is available for urgent orders — contact us to discuss your deadline.

Can I order a small quantity?

Yes, digital printing allows short runs from as few as 25 copies. For larger volumes (500+), offset printing offers better per-unit pricing. We will recommend the most cost-effective option for your quantity.
