Embossed Envelopes

Embossed envelopes add a three-dimensional element that elevates your mailing from standard to extraordinary. Selected elements — your logo, company name, a monogram, or a decorative border — are raised above or pressed into the envelope surface, creating a texture that is felt immediately upon handling.

At Perklets Print, we produce embossed and debossed envelopes using precision metal dies that deliver sharp, detailed impressions on premium paper stocks. Blind embossing (without ink or foil) creates a sophisticated, understated effect, while combining embossing with foil adds metallic dimension.

Embossed envelopes communicate quality and craftsmanship before the envelope is even opened. They are favoured by luxury hotels, law firms, financial institutions, and premium brands where every touchpoint must reflect the highest standards.

FAQs: Embossed Envelopes

What is blind embossing?

Blind embossing creates a raised texture without ink or foil — the impression is the same colour as the paper. It creates a subtle, elegant effect that is felt before it is seen.

Where is embossing typically applied on envelopes?

The most popular placements are the logo on the front, a monogram or seal on the back flap, or a decorative border. Embossing on the return address also adds a premium touch.

Does embossing require thicker paper?

Yes, 160 GSM minimum is recommended for embossing. Thicker paper holds the impression better and creates a more pronounced tactile effect.

Can embossing be combined with foil?

Yes, foil embossing applies metallic foil to the raised surface — creating a 3D metallic effect that is the most premium envelope finish available.
