- Safe area: Keep important text at least 5mm inside the die-cut line. Account for binding margin on the spine edge.

Is there a die cost for custom shapes?
Yes, a custom cutting die is required. The die cost is a one-time charge included in your first order quote, based on the complexity and size of the shape. The die is retained for future reorders.
What binding works with custom shapes?
Saddle-stitch and wire-O work best with custom shapes as they allow the most flexibility. Perfect binding requires a straight spine edge. The binding edge must always be straight regardless of the overall shape.
Can the interior pages have different content per page?
Yes, every page can have unique content — activity pages, illustrations, reference information, or varying ruling styles. This is popular for children's notebooks and branded workbooks.
How precise is the die-cutting?
Our die-cutting is precision-machined with tolerances of +/- 0.5mm. All pages are cut together to ensure perfect alignment from cover to cover. Edges are clean and smooth.
