Embossed Paper Bags
Embossed paper bags feature raised or recessed designs that add a tangible dimension of luxury to your packaging. Unlike flat printing, embossing creates a three-dimensional texture that can be seen and felt — engaging the sense of touch and creating a memorable, multi-sensory brand experience that leaves a lasting impression.
At Perklets Print, we offer both raised embossing (design pushed upward from the surface) and debossing (design pressed into the surface). Blind embossing — where the raised texture has no ink or foil — creates a subtle, sophisticated effect that is particularly elegant on matt-laminated surfaces. For maximum impact, combine embossing with foil stamping to create a raised, metallic design element that truly stands out.
Our embossed bags are produced on heavyweight 250–350 GSM art board that holds the embossed impression cleanly and permanently. Custom metal dies are created for each design, ensuring sharp, precise embossing every time. These bags are the choice of discerning brands that understand packaging is the first physical touchpoint of the customer experience.

FAQs: Embossed Paper Bags
What is the difference between embossing and debossing?
Embossing raises the design above the paper surface, creating a protruding texture. Debossing presses the design into the surface, creating an indented impression. Both are produced using custom metal dies and add a tactile dimension to your packaging.
What is blind embossing?
Blind embossing is embossing without any ink or foil — the design is visible only through the raised texture and shadow it creates. It is a subtle, elegant effect that works beautifully on matt or soft-touch laminated surfaces.
Can embossing be combined with foil stamping?
Yes, this is one of the most popular premium combinations. The design is both raised and foiled, creating a three-dimensional metallic element that is visually striking and tactile. We call this combination foil embossing.
What is the minimum detail size for embossing?
Embossing works best with clean, bold designs. Minimum line width is 1mm. Very fine text or intricate patterns may not emboss cleanly — we can advise during the proofing stage on what will work best.
How long does production take for embossed bags?
Embossed bags require 10–14 working days from artwork approval. This includes custom die production (2–3 days), printing and lamination, embossing, and bag construction. Rush production is available on consultation.
