Foil Stamped Boxes

Foil stamping transforms packaging from ordinary to extraordinary. The application of metallic foil — gold, silver, rose gold, copper, or holographic — creates a reflective, eye-catching accent that catches light and draws attention. It is the definitive finishing technique for luxury brands that want their packaging to shimmer, shine, and command attention on shelf or in hand.

At Perklets Print, we apply foil stamping to rigid boxes, folding cartons, and sleeve packaging with precision and consistency. Our hot foil stamping process uses custom-engraved dies and controlled heat and pressure to bond metallic foil to the substrate, creating sharp, durable, and brilliantly reflective details — from logos and text to patterns and borders.

We offer a comprehensive range of foil colours and finishes: classic gold and silver, on-trend rose gold and copper, bold holographic and iridescent, and subtle matte metallic. Combined with embossing, the foil can be raised from the surface for an even more tactile and dramatic effect. The result is packaging that looks and feels like it belongs to a premium brand.

FAQs: Foil Stamped Boxes

What foil colours are available?

We stock gold (bright and antique), silver, rose gold, copper, red, blue, green, black, white, and holographic foils. Pantone-matched metallic foils are available on request for orders over 500 units.

Can foil stamping be combined with embossing?

Yes, foil stamping and embossing can be done in a single pass — this is called foil embossing. The foil is applied and the surface is raised simultaneously, creating a luxurious 3D metallic effect.

Is foil stamping durable?

Yes, properly applied foil stamping is highly durable and resistant to scratching and fading. When combined with lamination, the foil is further protected and will maintain its appearance through handling and shipping.

What is the minimum size for foil details?

Minimum line width for foil is 0.5mm, and minimum text size is 8pt. Very fine serifs and thin strokes may not reproduce cleanly in foil — we recommend bold, clean designs for the best results.

How much does foil stamping add to the cost?

Foil stamping requires a custom metal die (one-time cost) plus the foil application. The die cost depends on the size and complexity of the foil area. Per-unit foil cost decreases with quantity. We provide detailed pricing with every quote.
